Astral Q1 FY24 Results Key Highlights

  • Q1 Consolidated Revenue up 5.8% and Net Profit up 27%
  • EBITDA Margins 16.7% (Lower due to Rs.3.4 Cr loss in Sanitaryware and Faucets)

  • Pipe business shown 30% volume growth, Revenue was lower due to pass-on done.
  • Robust demand in Pipe business – Company decided to put three units – First Unit at Guwahati (Capacity of 22,000 M.T.) in East which will start production in September 2023. Second Unit in Hyderabad (70,000 M.T.) which will start first phase production in September 24 and will complete second phase in FY-26. Third Unit in UP (50,000 M.T.) which will complete first phase by FY-25 and second phase in FY-26.
  • Company has also decided to expand capacity in existing units
  • Demand is in right direction so Astral is bullish and expanding its capacity
  • Sanitaryware & Faucet more than 500 Showrooms/display center/sales point
  • 5 Cr sales per month achieved from Sanitaryware & Faucet which will keep increasing. Current focus was to open showrooms, Now from Q3 onwards focus will be to increase revenue run rate.
  • Cash Reserves are at Rs.465 Cr as on 30th June 2023
  • Paint Sales Rs.41 Cr, EBITDA 17%
  • Capex Plan for FY24 – Rs.350 Cr
  • In Q2 Concall, Astral may change Revenue guidance in upward direction
